Year 6 2025 - 2026
Welcome to our Year Six Page!
I am looking forward to the exciting year ahead for our class group and look forward to sharing the children's journey with you along the way. We have so much to look forward to, including exciting trips to Bewilderwood and The Western Approaches in Liverpool, which will support our History topic on World War II.
We will be working extremely hard to develop the children's confidence in preparation for their SATs assessments in May. Children will receive weekly Maths and Grammar homework tasks to support with this, as well as being asked to read for ten minutes each night. I will also be setting weekly spellings on Spelling Shed and children should make sure they complete their TT Rockstars each day during the week, to consolidate their multiplication tables. Homework tasks will be sent home on a Friday and will be marked as a class group on a Wednesday. This means that it is important for tasks to be completed on time.
We are fortunate enough to have Mrs Kitson and Miss Kinsella as part of our teaching team this year. Mrs Kitson will support our class group each morning and will work alongisde myself to ensure they receive the support needed to make progress this year. Miss Kinsella will teach the class group on a Tuesday.
PE days are on a Thursday. The children should wear their PE kits on this day.
I look forward to working with you all throughout the year. Please keep up-to-date with our journey via SEESAW and by visiting this page frequently.
Best Wishes,
Mrs Nicola Geraghty
