Welcome to Year 2 at All Saints Upton.

Key Information

The Year 2 teachers are Mrs Cho (Deputy Head Teacher) and Mrs Thomas (SENDCo) who share the Year 2 class. The Year 2 class also has Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning. Our P.E. day is a Wednesday and all homework is set and handed in on a Friday.

We use Seesaw to show what we have been learning in school, to set homework and to show copies of letters / announcements. Please make sure you have the Seesaw app downloaded to your phone so you can be kept up to date of things that are happening in school. We use Schoolhub for ordering dinners. This can be done in advance and parents / carers are expected to order before school, this includes packed lunches from home.

AUTUMN TERM

Autumn term is an extremely important term in Year 2 as children settle into a new year group and work towards becoming more fluent in reading, writing and maths. The curriculum is full of interesting new topics and children continue to build up confidence and reslience. We also have exciting events to work towards including the class assembly and the Christmas play. Every day in school is an opportunity to learn and develop so good attendance is essential. We look forward to buidling and strenghtening relationships with the children and their families, working together towards continued success in school.
